John Harding

It is time again for me to post some updates for members and donors.

Firstly, on your behalf, a donation was made to The Royal Marsden Hospital Trust a couple of weeks ago. In return, they attached a Christmas star bearing the name 'Dusty Springfield' to their large tree in Chelsea.

I have also renewed, on your behalf, the sponsorship of two cats at The Celia Hammond Animal Trust. Sadly Tim, one of the cats we sponsored last year, died this year. In his place, we have a new cat called Clare. Luckily, Bluebell has survived another year, so we again have been able to take her under our wing.

(I have 2 documents for each cat which I shall try to share with you - unfortunately, they are .pdf files, which won't upload at present. I am working on that and hope to let you see the details later.)

And finally, as always at this time of year, a Christmas arrangement has been placed on the headstone, with the help of Annette at The White Garden Florist in Henley. Annette sent the attached photographs recently, and our flowers now sit alongside those arranged by David Hay-Gibson on behalf of The Official Dusty Springfield Fan Club.

(I sent Pat Rhodes copies of our wreath photos supplied by Annette, and I received the following response:

'Gives me a nice warm glow that she will never be forgotten whilst we`re alive.
Pat. xxx'

So thank you, as always, to everyone who gave donations to the various funds during the course of the year no matter how large or small - I hope you feel that your gifts have been wisely used.

With the best wishes for this holiday season to all the members around the world.

John

Dusty's hat is pink. She wears it on stage in a pic I know I've seen, but I can't find it right now. Here it is in b/w anyway.

Didn't we say '66? ๐Ÿค” Anyway, it's taken in Long Beach, at Norma's mother 's house.

Great to a picture of Norma and Dusty together!!

Gorgeous girls xx

Lovely, thanks for sharing Corinna , Norma and LTD xx

It is a lovely photo. Enjoyed seeing it again.
