Not one of Paul zHowes favourite tracks according to the Dusty bible!!! I love her early work and this was a very strong first album. Perhaps she was making sure that everyone knew that this was the way she wanted to go after breaking from the Springfields. xx
I was a member in " Dusty Springfield Memory's " group for years, I was a very active picture poster and commenter of Dusty Springfield every chance I got. some months ago come to find out I was blocked for reasons that I had change my profile picture to a none profile pictures, I usually change my profile pictures quite often. I am inside other groups, even my own I never had that problem . I understand that a male Admin of the group , I guess he might be new, up and block me and maybe others for not having their personal pictures, he never inform me, he just went on a power trip. over a year ago I was asked to be a Admin of the group, I declined because I🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️ managed so many groups of my own. Now, I will not participate in any more Dusty Springfield group because of this. Dusty Springfield was and still is my favorite British Artist, ever since she started with the Springfield's. Back in the 60's'
Have a great weekend yourself Cas!!! I fancy some early Dusty just taken "Ooooeeeee" from its sleeve!!! xx
This really is so evocative of 1963 as anyone who was there will testify. I remember as a fourteen/fifteen year old being transfixed by the gorgeous Mandy Rice-Davis and fascinated by the "main players" Stephen Ward Lucky Gordon, Christine Keeler, John Profumo Lord Astor et al!!! It was a stroke of genius on the PSB'S part in reuniting Dusty with the era of which she was so much a part!! "Please please me"s No. 1." Fab!!! xx
Yet another one that got away!! Schedulef for single release (and even advertised as such) it suffered the same fate as so many others yet surely competes favorably with "Little by little", "I'll try anything" or "In the middle of nowhere." xx
